Catan Seafarers (2025)

Set sail and explore beyond the shores of Catan! “Catan: Seafarers” expands the classic board game with thrilling maritime adventures, new islands, and exciting scenarios.
This expansion features a variety of unique scenarios that first lead players from the coast of Catan to neighboring islands, and later into completely unexplored regions. Earn special victory points by being the first to settle new islands, discover new lands and seas, and interact with a mysterious forgotten tribe.
Danger also lurks on the open water. Pirates now threaten the seas, disrupting shipping routes and forcing players to defend their fleets and conquer pirate strongholds. In the final scenarios, players compete for the honor of Catan by constructing the most awe-inspiring Wonders of the World.
The Seafarers expansion includes:
new terrain tiles for creating varied island maps
ships in each player’s color, used similarly to roads
the ability to move the leading ship on a shipping route, adding tactical flexibility
gold rivers, allowing players to choose any type of resource
a pirate, replacing the robber on sea tiles
⚠️ Note: Cards from this edition are not compatible with earlier Catan editions.
